Dinsdag 11 Augustus 2009 komt Microsoft met een nieuwe Xbox 360 Dashboard update.

Het meest interessante wat beschikbaar zal komen met deze update is de Games On Demand service. Dit houdt in dat er via Xbox Live volledige games kunnen worden aangeschaft en deze downloaden naar je Xbox360.
Tevens wordt het mogelijk om film en tv-series te bekijken via Netflix.

Verder zal Xbox Live Avatar Marktplace beschikbaar worden. In deze Martketplace kunnen gebruikers nieuwe kleding stukken aanschaffen. Dit kan merkkleding zijn of kleding die betrekking hebben op games.

Facebook, Twitter en Last.fm komen in deze update nog niet beschikbaar, deze zullen pas in het najaar beschikbaar worden als de najaars update uitkomt.
