Upgrade MCSE2003 naar Windows 2008 Technology Specialist examen

Gisteren het upgrade examen gedaan en het examen succesvol gehaald.  (TS: Upgrading Your MCSE on Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008, Technology Specialist).

Dit examen bestaat uit de 3 delen met een totaal van 49 vragen verdeeld over onderstaande modules.

De verdeling en weging binnen het examen is volgens Microsoft:

Exam 70-640: TS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring

  • Configuring Additional Active Directory Server Roles (11%)

Exam 70-642: TS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring

  • Configuring IP Addressing and Services (24%)
  • Configuring Network Access (22%)

Exam 70-643: TS: Windows Server 2008 Applications, Configuring

  • Deploying Servers (12%)
  • Configuring Terminal Services (16%)
  • Configuring a Web Services Infrastructure (15%)

Het examen is vergeleken met het upgrade examen van MCSE2000 naar MCSE2003 (70-292 en 70-296) een stuk makkelijker.
Persoonlijk vind ik dit een gemakkelijk examen. Had vewacht dat het stuk moeilijker was. Mij hoor je verder niet klagen, heb het gehaald.

Voor dit examen ontvang je 3 individuele certificaten:

  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS): Windows Server 2008 Application Platform Configuration 

Het volgende examen zal 70-647 (Windows Server 2008, Enterprise Administrator) zijn.
