Windows 10 slow boot, long black screen after update: Registry fix

After updating Windows 10 from an earlier Windwos 10 version my system becomes very slow when booting.

During system boot, first the Microsoft logo appears for a few seconds and then… a black screen with no cursor. This black screen lasts for about 2 minutes and perhaps more, then the cursor and the login page appear. After logon my desktop is loaded after a few seconds.
After this point everything is normal and functional.

The Fix:

Step 1
Go to the registry by typing “regedit” in windows search.

Step 2
Go to the “Edit” tab and click on “Find”.

Step 3
In the text box type in “EnableULPS” and then press Find.

Step 4
You should see “EnableULPS”. Double click on it.

Step 5
Change the value from “1” to “0”

Step 6
Reboot
